Job Classification Descriptions For the 2012-2013 Biennium

The Job Classification Index lists all State of Texas job classification descriptions (927) for the 2012-2013 biennium, effective September 1, 2011. (Please note: This is not a list of current job vacancies. Current job vacancies can be found on the WorkinTexas Web site.)

Job classification descriptions are routinely updated after the end of each legislative session to denote changes in salary groups, new job classification series, new job classification levels, and title changes. In addition, there may be other job classification series updated at this time if warranted. For more information on job classification descriptions, see the Job Description Guide.

The job classification index can be sorted by Classification Code, Classification Title, Salary Group, or Occupational Category. You may view the job classification descriptions for a position by clicking either on the Classification Code or Classification Title. It is currently sorted by: Class Code

To filter the job descriptions, enter your filter text in the "Filter Descriptions" box, then click the "Filter" button. For example, if you only want to see job descriptions for accountants, type "accountant" in the box and click Filter. Only job descriptions with "accountant" in the title will appear in the grid.
